Our Score
David Niven is the accountant who goes off the rails when he decides to indulge in a spot of creative book-keeping in this frivolous romantic comedy, shot in Britain but produced by Americans (one of whom was Douglas Fairbanks Jr). His ill-gotten gains are used to fund a romantic spree with French girl Genevieve Page (appearing in her first British film), but all good things must come to an end. There are lots of well-known faces in the supporting cast but the theme was exploited much more effectively 20 years later in Jonathan Demme's Something Wild.
