Review

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Framed by Nazi agents, navy commander Richard Heritage (James Mason) loses his job for accidentally revealing secret information. Determined to clear his name, he goes in search of the woman who set him up, only to find her dead. Joining forces with visiting Canadian Laura Verity (Joyce Howard), they set out to unmask theatrical agent Tom Walls whose business is a front for Nazi spies. An old-fashioned, run-of-the-mill and unlikely espionage thriller-cum-romance, it was topical during the Second World War years, but is rather unrewarding now. Earlier in his career, Walls was a mainstay of the famous Aldwych farces on both stage and screen.
