Our Score
Proof that even the most talented actors - in this case, Jack Nicholson and Ellen Barkin - can make bad choices and turn in mediocre performances in a below-par film. When opera singer Barkin thinks she's being stalked, she enlists the help of oddball dog trainer Nicholson to find her an attack dog. Naturally, the pair are soon sparring along the path to true love. Of course, there are various complications to their romance, but they're too ridiculous and insignificant to mention here. The result is unlikely to have pride of place on Nicholson, Barkin or director Bob Rafelson's résumés.

A well-to-do opera singer is understandably horrified to learn she has a stalker and decides to invest in an attack dog to provide some peace of mind. Love starts to blossom between her and the cynical security expert helping her pick the perfect pooch, but their relationship leads to trouble. Romantic comedy, starring Jack Nicholson, Ellen Barkin and Harry Dean Stanton.
