Our Score
This film à clef on the life of Serge Rubenstein is something of a family affair, with George Sanders getting the chance to betray real-life brother Tom Conway and seduce then wife Zsa Zsa Gabor. Overlong and repetitive, the action follows Sanders as he treads the familiar path from stony-broke immigrant to spendthrift playboy - movie moguls never tire of telling us that America was the land of opportunity. A supporting cast of second division stars is caught up in an endless round of knavery, theft and death, which would be quite intolerable without the debonair Sanders at full throttle.

Summary

George Sanders stars as a charismatic Czech refugee who ingratiates himself with a number of wealthy women to get ahead in the rat race. Drama, with Zsa Zsa Gabor, Yvonne de Carlo, Victor Jory and John Hoyt.
