Review

Our Score
Adapted by Norman Krasna from his own play, Who Was That Lady I Saw You With?, this is a strained romantic comedy that has already outstayed its welcome before it turns into a Cold War farce. Caught in flagrante with one of his students, professor Tony Curtis persuades his TV writer buddy, Dean Martin, to concoct an excuse to assuage his jealous wife, Janet Leigh (then Mrs Curtis off screen, too). However, their story about the FBI and a nest of Russian spies is closer to the truth than they suspect. It's polished enough, but there's more to screwball than just pace.

Summary

A woman is stunned to discover her husband in a compromising position with one of his students - but even more shocked when he reveals he is working undercover as a spy. As events spiral out of control, however, she begins to doubt his story. Comical covert capers, starring Janet Leigh, Tony Curtis, Dean Martin and James Whitmore.
