Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford, stars of that electric film noir
Gilda
, are re-united here in yet another spy tale set in a far-flung hotspot. The plot is some nonsense about spy rings, with Ford helping Hayworth find her husband's killer, but this movie's all about the chemistry between the stars. Alexander Scourby makes an effective villain, and veteran director Vincent Sherman is in his element with this kind of material. Hayworth is simply ravishing in her return to the screen after a four-year break following her marriage to Prince Ali Khan.
Summary
A nightclub singer helps the police catch the ruthless gangsters responsible for murdering her husband. However, the plan is complicated when her brother-in-law shows up, determined to get revenge on the killers himself. Drama, starring Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, Alexander Scourby and Torin Thatcher.
