Our Score
A chorus girl in burlesque on Broadway steps out of her class, as did her mother before her, and falls in love with a smooth socialite. Directed by Phil Karlson from a monumentally feeble script, this dire but mercifully short musical programme-filler marks the less than notable first leading role for Marilyn Monroe. She is adequate to the undemanding task without giving any hint of the screen goddess she would become. Adele Jergens plays mother, and Rand Brooks the object of Monroe's affections.

Summary

A chorus member in a burlesque show is elevated to the lead role, and catches the eye of a wealthy man in the audience. However, her mother had a similar experience in her youth and fears the relationship will end badly, so tries to keep them apart. Musical, starring Marilyn Monroe, Adele Jergens and Rand Brooks.
