Well, if it is, it's nothing to get excited about. Released in the States as The Dream Maker, this sentimental hokum feels like it was something Norman Wisdom rejected before being turned into a vehicle for Tommy Steele. With a cheeky grin never far from his face, Steele masterminds a talent show to raise funds for the local orphanage. Stardom and Angela Douglas beckon for the winner, who just happens to be... well, figure it out for yourselves. The songs sound as though they were knocked out on a slow afternoon on Denmark Street, London's very own Tin Pan Alley.
