Our Score
It was British films like this, that encouraged Joan Collins and James Booth to flee to Hollywood. The glamorous pair play a suburban couple who turn vigilantes and become involved in the kidnap and imprisonment of the man (Kenneth Griffith, made up to look like Richard Attenborough as Christie in 10 Rillington Place) who they believe raped and murdered their daughter. What begins as a serious examination of a growing social problem becomes increasingly melodramatic, ending in a blaze of hysterical shrieking and stabbing. Quite unconvincing, enjoyable for all the wrong reasons.
