Review

A star rating of 3 out of 5.

An attractive idea, but rather crudely done for Disney animation, this follows the adventure of a young mouse devotee of Sherlock Holmes who helps to investigate the disappearance of a mouse toymaker and a plot against the Mouse Queen. It's notable for Vincent Price's wonderfully arch and sinister voiceover as the master scoundrel Professor Ratigan - as rat-like a monster as ever drew sibilant breath. He and the peg-legged bat Fidget prove that villains have all the best lines.
