Our Score
What's this? A British movie about surfing! Set on the rocky, chilly beaches of Cornwall, it's no wonder you see little of the sport itself. Instead, director Carl Prechezer focuses on the less interesting dilemma facing surfer Sean Pertwee. Terrified of turning 30, should he choose between his woman, Catherine Zeta-Jones, or the waves? One look at the weather throughout this contrived melodrama - a film that would have been equally at home in the 1960s and starring Cliff Richard - and there's no contest. Only Ewan McGregor's drug-popping psycho places this old-fashioned emotional whirlpool in the 1990s.
