Our Score
Despite a run of jolly, sunny-sounding pop hits (Glad All Over, Bits and Pieces), the Dave Clark Five chose former documentarist John Boorman to direct this starkly black-and-white and unexpectedly bleak first feature. It's no A Hard Day's Night, but it paved the way for Boorman to make Point Blank and proved to be massively influential on such films as Radio On and Two-Lane Blacktop. Clark and the lads are singularly charmless and unskilled at thesping, but Barbara Ferris does a nice turn as Dinah, a model on the lam. For 1960s culture vultures and John Boorman completists only.

An actress runs away with a stuntman while filming a commercial for a company keen to exploit their romance for profit. Musical comedy, with the Dave Clark Five and Barbara Ferris.
