Review

A star rating of 2 out of 5.

Quentin Tarantino tried re-releasing this exploitation cheapie in 1999, though it still didn't really find an audience. Indeed, the movie has dated in a way that makes it more tacky than actually hilarious, and though a director known for campy exploitation movies was at the helm, the very low budget results in the characters providing more "attitude" and arguments than violence or sexual material. Still, this saga of the trials and battles of an all-girl gang does have its moments, not just with the expected women in prison sequence, but a roller rink massacre and a surprisingly big-scale climactic street war that includes a tank.
