The Boulting brothers' delightfully witty follow-up to their smash hit
Private's Progress
features many of the same cast. Its source novel is by Henry Cecil, himself a distinguished QC, and hopefully quite unlike the absent-minded QC played by Miles Malleson to whom our hero Ian Carmichael is apprenticed. Carmichael is surrounded here by a cast of accomplished character actors, including the splendid Terry-Thomas and the redoubtable Richard Attenborough as a smarmy fellow barrister. This is still very funny and relevant today.
Summary
An inexperienced barrister blunders through a succession of comic misadventures in and out of court. Comedy, with starring Ian Carmichael, Terry-Thomas and Richard Attenborough.
