Our Score
Released hot on the heels of The Bank Job and Daylight Robbery, this comedy-tinged thriller offers little variation on the British heist-movie formula. The set-up sees three different parties (a gang of professional thieves, two opportunistic female bank clerks and a disgruntled customer) independently deciding to rob the same bank at the same time on the same day. Chaos, of course, ensues. John Simm and Philip Glenister (stars of TV's Life on Mars) certainly lend lustre to the ensemble cast, but writer/director Sacha Bennett's feature debut is let down by its confusing flashback structure. You can't help feeling that this is just one blag too far.

Summary

Thieves plot to break into a bank and steal a priceless emerald. But a pair of disgruntled employees have the same idea, while a man driven to desperation by his crumbling marriage is planning a heist - and all three make their move on the same day. Crime thriller, starring John Simm, Philip Glenister and Ashley Walters.
