During the Second World War, a nervy and sensitive Canadian officer (Bradford Dillman) is made a fall guy by British intelligence, who drop him in Normandy with false information, confident he'll be captured by the Germans and crack under pressure. Well-directed by Jack Lee, with convincing performances from Dillman and a host of first-class English stage and TV actors such as Harry Andrews, Robert Stephens and Paul Rogers, this is a decent espionage drama that suffers mainly from the fact that we've been watching them for decades. Beautiful model but inferior actress Suzy Parker is intelligence chief Andrews's assistant, caught between love and duty.
