A ballet tutor's Lolita-style obsession with a 16-year-old pupil forms the basis of this bland and flimsy drama. But it takes such a long time for handsome stalker Sebastian Spence to reveal his true, unhinged nature that there's neither tension nor emotional impact in anything that unfolds. Instead, director David Winkler (son of GoodFellas producer Irwin) fuels viewer boredom by repeating the same slow-motion sequences of teen victim Elise Gatien dancing, while establishing her dull, newly divorced mum Daphne Zuniga (One Tree Hill) as his focal character. Worse still, Gatien's supposedly outstanding moves are as unconvincing as her shouty acting; adding to the narrative's increasing implausibility that reaches its peak in the over-convenient finale.

A ballet teacher develops a twisted infatuation with one of his students and starts dating her mother to get closer to his pupil. When the woman realises what is going on, she breaks off their relationship - leading him to become even more desperate and dangerous. Thriller, starring Daphne Zuniga, Sebastian Spence and Elise Gatien.
