Our Score
Romance, espionage and villainy during the Napoleonic Wars unfold at an English country estate inherited by former governess Jean Kent on the death of her wealthy husband. The widow finds herself surrounded by French spies and British traitors, all after some vital documents secreted in the house, but she foils them all. A good-looking but rather muddled and unsatisfactory adaptation of a novel by Georgette Heyer, which entertains in fits and starts.
