Review

Our Score
Trevor Howard and Richard Attenborough almost redeem this dull, studio-bound drama set at the height of the British Raj. As the widow of the regimental hero, Susannah York accuses a newly arrived lieutenant of assaulting her, leading to his court martial, a lot of twitching moustaches, general harrumphing and an exposure of Victorian moral hypocrisy. The plot seems a blatant rip-off of EM Forster's A Passage to India, and what on Earth is Stacy Keach doing as a British officer?

Summary
