Review

Our Score
Will Hay created wonderful comic characters, incompetent because they were masquerading in their work or were, quite simply, not up to the job. Here the latter is true, as he plays the unsuccessful solicitor Bernard Stubbins, whose office happens to be over a bank that a gang decides to rob. Bernard is knocked out but later, as he sponges off wealthy relatives at a party, the same gang turn up for a repeat performance. Can the master of the supercilious sniff save the day? It's notable as the first collaboration between the devious Hay and his regular sidekick, Graham Moffatt, here playing an office boy.

Summary

A down-at-heel solicitor is duped by crooks keen to capitalise on the fact that his office is situated over a bank, but manages to turn the tables on them - more by luck than judgement. Comedy, starring Will Hay, Graham Moffatt and Gina Malo.
