Review

Our Score
An impressive B-western with Raymond Burr as the killer captured by Arizona lawman Hugh O'Brian, who then has to deal with various factions within the town and keep Burr from escaping. Critics at the time admired the showdown between the two antagonists, which was filmed like a medieval joust with the two men facing each other down on charging horses. However, the whole movie has an admirable tension and a neatly dovetailed gallery of characters. Burr was a popular screen heavy, and he contrasts well with the tall, languid presence of O'Brian, then famous as Wyatt Earp in the long-running US TV show.
