Our Score
Made by Elizabeth Hurley and Hugh Grant's production company Simian Films, this was a commercial success for the then romantically attached pair. Grant is sublimely ridiculous as an English auctioneer in New York, who learns that marrying sweetheart Jeanne Tripplehorn also means getting spliced to the Mob. Tripplehorn's father, James Caan, is the local don and Grant quickly finds himself up to his neck in linguini as he fakes the identity of out-of-town mobster "Mickey Blue Eyes". This gently entertaining comedy is a sure-fire crowd pleaser.

A strait-laced Englishman falls for a New York mobster's daughter, who wants to escape her family's criminal connections. However, try as he may, he realises there is virtually no way to avoid being drawn into its members' illegal activities. Romantic comedy, starring Hugh Grant, Jeanne Tripplehorn, James Caan and Burt Young.
