Our Score
The last spaghetti western credited to master chef Sergio Leone was originally called Duck, You Sucker!, a title that is perhaps more in tune with the film's jokey intentions. Rod Steiger stars as peasant Juan Miranda who becomes a bandit during the Mexican Revolution and then takes up with fugitive IRA explosives expert James Coburn. There's nothing really funny about Coburn as a walking arsenal, but Leone manages more laughs than you'd expect, thanks to his actors' unexpected gift for deadpan comedy. Composer Ennio Morricone provides yet another distinctive soundtrack.

An IRA explosives expert fleeing the British authorities lies low in Mexico, just as the revolution erupts. He is persuaded to join forces with a bandit to rob a bank, but they end up becoming unwitting heroes of the revolutionary cause. Sergio Leone's Spaghetti Western, starring Rod Steiger, James Coburn, Maria Monti, Romolo Valli, Rik Battaglia and Franco Graziosi.
