Our Score
Lots of time and money were spent on this sci-fi action movie, but to no avail. A listless Michael Madsen plays a naval officer whose daughter is endowed with a mysterious power that makes them both targets for the government. There are superior special effects, and large-scale action sequences, but everything seems wrong, from the position of the camera to how the action moves on the screen. The closing credits list a number of assistant directors, suggesting that there were some problems during the production. At least, cult favorites R Lee Ermey and Robert Vaughn liven things up during their brief appearances.

A squadron of fighter pilots cannot believe their eyes when they spot a UFO. During the subsequent battle, one of their aircraft is shot down and a colleague mysteriously disappears. Vowing to keep their close and costly encounter a secret, the men go their separate ways, but years later the absent man's son begins to ask some difficult questions. Sci-fi drama, starring Michael Madsen and R Lee Ermey.
