A dire British B-feature, barely seen when it first came out. An absent-minded boffin (Tony Quinn) invents an explosive fountain pen, timed to go off on the first stroke of Big Ben. The pen falls into the hands of a drug peddler (Sydney Tafler) who, as it happens, hides his wares in fountain pens. While the dénouement is undeniably explosive, the build-up is feeble and none of the characters engage one's interest.

Summary

An eccentric inventor creates a bomb disguised as a fountain pen, which is programmed to go off when Big Ben chimes. Unfortunately, before it can be disarmed it is stolen by a drug dealer - who carries a number of pens to conceal his wares in. Crime thriller, starring John Watson, Sydney Tafler and Patti Morgan.
