Review

Our Score
Barbara Murray plays a dogmatic social worker dealing with underprivileged children who enlists the help of electrician Max Bygraves as an assistant. And it's Max who saves the day when a bereaved child goes on the run with the kids of a murderer and a gun. Neither as melodramatic as it sounds, nor all doom and gloom, this is a decent attempt at realism, directed in quasi-documentary style by Lewis Gilbert. In a huge cast, the children take top honours.
