Our Score
A strong cast comes to the aid of this implausible Randolph Scott western, originally released in 3D in the United States. One-eyed director Andre De Toth had already tried the process with House of Wax and stages another fiery climax, this time in a blazing saloon, that made audiences watching in 3D feel the heat. Scott plays the man protecting gold shipments from hold-ups, and his adversaries include the ever-hissable George Macready, Alfonso Bedoya's beaming Mexican bandit, and two gunmen played by Lee Marvin and Ernest Borgnine early in their careers. The two women vying for Randy's affections are the worldly Claire Trevor (splendid as always) and the respectable Joan Weldon (pallid and anodyne).

Summary

A spy for the Confederacy during the American Civil War decides to make a fresh start after the conflict, and takes a job working for a railroad freight company. However, his past catches up with him in the form of a former ally who is now the leader of a gang of bandits and is plotting a train robbery. Western, starring Randolph Scott and Claire Trevor.
