Our Score
Bereft of Alastair Sim, this third film in the St Trinian's series has its moments, but, sadly, all too few of them. With the school reduced to smouldering ashes, mysterious child psychologist Cecil Parker takes charge of the tearaways, in league with white-slaving sea captain Sid James. Woefully short on mayhem, the film spends too much time in the company of eventual castaways Parker and Joyce Grenfell. What's worse, Frank Launder and Sidney Gilliat waste the opportunities presented by casting Irene Handl as the new headmistress and Eric Barker and Dennis Price as the men from the ministry.

Summary

The girls burn their school to the ground, prompting a mysterious Middle Eastern gentleman to offer new premises for their studies - but he has a sinister ulterior motive for helping the badly behaved youngsters. Comedy, starring Cecil Parker, Joyce Grenfell, George Cole and Irene Handl.
