Review

Our Score
Western star Randolph Scott hit a winning streak when he teamed up with director Budd Boetticher and writer Burt Kennedy on such gems as The Tall T and Comanche Station. Scott and Boetticher made this one; unfortunately, Kennedy wasn't involved. It's visually less impressive, set in town rather than out in the wide-open spaces, and the plot - which revolves around Randy's feud with local bigwig John Carroll - is rather verbose. Boetticher's eye for strikingly glamorous actresses is evident in the casting of Karen Steele and Valerie French.

Summary

A gunslinger rides into a backwoods town intent on finding his dead wife's former lover and exacting revenge for her death. The man he blames now has total control of the town and has the sheriff at his beck and call. Undeterred, the drifter offers his enemy an ultimatum - he has until sundown to leave the town or face retribution for his crimes. Western, with Randolph Scott, John Carroll and Andrew Duggan.
