Rough Night

Scarlett Johansson stars here as the bride-to-be on a bachelorette weekend that takes a horrific turn, resulting in the accidental death of a stripper. Like many "party gone wrong" movies, this Miami misadventure aims to push the boundaries of taste and even oversteps the line occasionally. Some of the jokes miss the mark, and it isn't helped by a plot that seems far-fetched even for the wildest of nights. Despite this, there's some real hilarity to be found in the natural chemistry of the female cast, with Johansson well supported by Jillian Bell, Kate McKinnon and Zoë Kravitz, with Demi Moore and Ty Burrell joining in the fun as sleazy next door neighbours. The risqué humour may be too extreme for some, but Rough Night delivers on its promise of debauched laughs.
