The Rezort

Westworld meets The Walking Dead in an entertaining horror with a bit more allegorical bite than the average living dead noshfest. Director Steve Barker (Outpost) sets the action after the zombie apocalypse, when tourists can go on safari hunts on an island paradise and get their kicks blowing away flesh-eaters. There's no surprise that luxury soon turns to bestiality and the hunters end up as the hunted, but Claire Goose as the ice-queen owner of the resort and Dougray Scott as a gnarly hunter add cutting edge to a less well-known cast hurtling towards an explosive date with destiny. It's not A-grade zombie fare but the tried-and-tested ingredients of a taciturn tough guy, cold-hearted villainess due her comeuppance, motley menu of survivors and edge-of-the-seat chases mean it's worth watching.
