This sexy, sun-baked drama from Call Me by Your Name director Luca Guadagnino is the sort of film that engrosses and amuses in equal measure. Set on a small island in Sicily, it revolves around Marianne Lane (Tilda Swinton), a Bowie-like rock star who is enjoying a relaxing holiday with her younger partner, Paul (Matthias Schoenaerts). The two of them are staying in a remote villa, where they are soaking up the sun while she recovers from a throat operation. However, the peace is suddenly shattered by the arrival of Harry (Ralph Fiennes), a talkative, hedonistic record producer (and an old flame of Marianne's), and his sultry daughter, Penelope (Dakota Johnson). What follows is cool, funny and sexually charged, as tensions start to rise between the quartet and other characters. The four leads are superb, but Fiennes steals the show, dominating a scene whenever he appears. His dancing, in particular, is a joy to behold.
