Our Score
Here's a modest little thriller that managed to secure a grade-A cast, but was still released as a B-feature. Rank regular John Gregson is the cop sorting out a nasty child kidnapping case involving a ruthless bomber. The bad guy is played by Jaws star Robert Shaw (before he became an international name), while theatre actor Alec Clunes (father of Martin) portrays the father of the kidnap victim. Veteran British director Lance Comfort expertly translates the workmanlike script, and the support cast contains many familiar British faces, including three notable TV names: William Hartnell (the first Doctor Who); Alan Wheatley, who played the Sheriff in The Adventures of Robin Hood in the 1950s; and Kenneth Cope, ghostly Marty in the Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) TV series.

Police race against time to save a millionaire's kidnapped son who's been locked up with a short-fused bomb. Thriller, starring Robert Shaw, Alec Clunes and John Gregson.
