Our Score
An old-style English caper comedy, with the likes of Edith Evans, Hattie Jacques and Harry H Corbett improbably joined by Hollywood heavies Telly Savalas and Warren Oates. This strange casting - a sort of Carry On meets The Dirty Dozen - gives the film a certain interest, not to mention eccentricity, as the cast are involved in a plot to rob a British stately home of its silver and art treasures. Dame Edith owns the stately pile and does her doddery old dowager act to perfection, but the overall tone is far too frantic and full of those terribly dated, Swinging Sixties fads and fashions.

Two incompetent American thieves are hired to rob an English stately home, only to have an attack of conscience when they get to know the eccentric owner. Crime comedy, starring Telly Savalas, Warren Oates and Edith Evans.
