Our Score
In this animated period adventure, the daughter of a murdered knight searches for King Arthur's magic sword, Excalibur, which has been stolen and is lost in a mythic wood. Adapted from the novel The King's Damosel by British writer Vera Chapman, it's hot on character but rather devoid of action. There's an interesting cast of voices, from Gary Oldman's evil Sir Ruber to John Gielgud's magical Merlin, and Pierce Brosnan is a very smooth-talking King Arthur.

The daughter of a dead knight joins forces with a handsome blind squire and a clumsy two-headed dragon to find the lost magical sword Excalibur and save King Arthur and the people of Camelot from evil forces. Animated fantasy adventure, with the voices of Gary Oldman, Jessalyn Gilsig, Cary Elwes, Eric Idle, Don Rickles, Jane Seymour, Pierce Brosnan, John Gielgud, Andrea Corr and Celine Dion.
