Our Score
With most 3D movies, the director always seemed more concerned with homing in on sharp, pointy objects to wow audiences rather than following a story. However, director Andre De Toth revelled in the opportunities offered by the new process and the result was this glorious-looking slice of gothic horror, which also helped establish Vincent Price as a horror icon. He plays an embittered sculptor who turns to human subjects for his waxworks with the help of one Charles Buchinsky, better known now as Charles Bronson.
