Our Score
The Will Hay classic Good Morning, Boys is the inspiration for this misfiring Ronald Shiner vehicle. Shiner is a racing tipster mistakenly appointed head of a boys' school who discovers his charges have a natural proclivity for gambling, which comes in handy when he escorts them on a cultural trip to Paris. However, they're soon distracted from the tables when they uncover a plot to steal the Mona Lisa. Less amusing than Hay's St Michael's outings and less anarchic than the St Trinian's romps, this efficient but underwhelming caper is all too typical of its director, John Paddy Carstairs.
