You are invited to the Royal Albert Hall on Friday 1 June for tea with Elgar… followed by a concert with Julian Lloyd Webber and the Philharmonia Orchestra, featuring some of Elgar’s most celebrated works.

On the eve of what would have been his birthday, celebrate the life and times of Edward Elgar, one of the greatest English composers.

This special event starts at 4pm with an intimate tea and cupcakes reception where you will be welcomed by RT editor Ben Preston and cellist Julian Lloyd Webber, followed by a talk illustrated with musical snippets by Geoff Hodgkins from The Elgar Society, who reveals more about the man behind the music. An optional tour of the Royal Albert Hall is also available.

You will then have a short break at your leisure before you relax in the best seats in the house with your souvenir programme for the evening concert that begins at 7.30pm. The programme includes Pomp and Circumstance March No 4, the Enigma Variations, Land of Hope and Glory and the great Cello Concerto. Tickets (strictly limited to 70 people*) cost £90 per person.
