The coast of Northumberland is not for lightweights; it’s stunning, but frequently freezing, and the wind can whip the sand straight in your eyes.
After a week of taking in softer views in Brighton and the Cotswolds, Rory heads north to find the rugged stuff, stopping in Berwick-upon-Tweed to see three different bridges.
He also helps out at a honey farm before touring Chillingham Castle near Alnwick, which was attacked as part of the area’s border feuds because of its royal connections. Nowadays visitors get their shivers in the torture chamber and dungeon, and Rory is no exception.
The comedian continues his quest to find the best British views with a trip to the rugged coast of Northumberland. Here he explores the picturesque town of Berwick-upon-Tweed and visits its three famous bridges, takes a trip to a honey farm and finds himself trapped in the dungeon of Chillingham Castle.
