If you weren’t a fan of Tim Minchin before, I bet you will be after watching this (unless you’re the Pope, who comes in for a profane pasting). The Australian is best known as the award-winning composer/lyricist for the West End smash Matilda, but as a witty songwriter and entertainer he fills the Albert Hall. “I’m always scattergun about what I want to do,” he tells Melvyn Bragg, revealing the humble, amiable man behind the wild-haired stage persona.
