The Bikers aren’t just cooking “posh” food, they’re providing big hairy shoulders to cry on as they sprinkle stardust into the life of a single mother. Paula can’t afford to treat her parents to the slap-up 40th wedding-anniversary dinner they deserve, so she asks the Bikers to help. With a £40 budget, Si and Dave knock up a splendid Italian meal for Paula’s mum and dad.
We learn the history of the chocolate bar when the Bikers go to London, where they visit a boutique chocolate shop, accompanied by the Clash’s London Calling. They try chillies dipped in chocolate, which results in tears.
Si King and Dave Myers demonstrate how to create a dinner for two that is fit for a king, but doesn't cost the earth. They receive presentation tips from Michelin-starred chef Olivier Limousin and delve into Britain's rich history for cut-price culinary inspiration. Everything they learn is put to the test when they help single mother Paula say a big thank-you to her supportive parents.
