Review

It’s not the crash calls that will have you on the edge of your seat, nibbling at your fingernails. It’s the supposedly routine: Jen struggling to fit a catheter; Tristan spending far too long on his first ward round; Tom turning pinker and pinker as he presents to a po-faced consultant; poor old Ed struggling to do anything at all correctly…

There’s also a sobering theme to tonight’s episode: alcohol abuse. The Royal Liverpool University Hospital has more alcohol-related cases than any other, so there’s no shortage of action for the fledgeling medics.

Summary

The newly qualified doctors learn how to deal with the realities of alcohol and drug addicts. Keira's stitching skills are put to the test when a man with a four-inch head wound needs healing, and one of Tristan's patients suffers an alcoholic seizure.
