Britain’s very own Marc Warren turns up in the first of a new series of this glossy, clever legal soap opera, as a thuggish man from kickass investigator Kalinda’s past. After the pair have a smackdown fight in a lift at the Chicago legal firm of Lockhart Gardner, they end up in bed together. Talk about mixed messages.
The Good Wife
herself, Alicia Florrick, has to defend her own son against trumped-up charges when the family car is stopped by a zealous police officer. Her husband Peter, currently running for Governor and trying to present a clean family image, intervenes but it threatens to backfire spectacularly.
The episode is dedicated to the show’s British executive producer, Tony Scott, who committed suicide last August.
Another chance to see the fourth series of the legal drama. Alicia's son Zach gets into trouble with the police, the firm narrowly avoids being liquidated, but an administrator is given powers over the company, with Will and Dane in charge of raising $60million in five months. Elsewhere, Peter begins his assault on the Illinois governorship, but faces questions about Alicia's involvement in his campaign. Julianna Margulies stars in the legal drama, featuring Nathan Lane, Marc Warren and Kristin Chenoweth.
