Super Famous Animals

Super Famous Animals

You know you’re a proper A-list celebrity when TV programmes start showing “before they were famous” clips of you. So, congratulations to 2012 Britain’s Got Talent winner Pudsey who makes his third festive appearance in the schedules with home video of his early puppy days.

Pudsey shares top dog billing with Uggie, the scene-stealing Jack Russell terrier who won the Palm Dog Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival for his role in The Artist. But other animals have achieved global celebrity, too. Take a bow Crystal, the capuchin monkey from the Night at the Museum films and online sensations Nora the piano-playing cat and waterskiing squirrel Twiggy.

A profile of creatures that have become worldwide celebrities, including Uggie, the Jack Russell cast in Oscar-winning film The Artist, who, like any self-respecting star, updates his fans via a social networking site. There is also home video footage of Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey before they were famous, and Tom Gunderson shows off his pet Crystal, a Capuchin monkey that appeared on the big screen in The Hangover Part II and Night at the Museum. Plus, online animal sensations, including a piano-playing cat, a water-skiing squirrel and a bicycle-riding dog.
