Another batch of celebrities risk their reputations in the black chair, answering questions in aid of their charities and proving their memories can be just as addled as ours after two days of festive overindulgence. Specialist subjects this year range from the esoteric (English-language publishing in Paris 1922—39; take a bow, Neil Pearson) to the mundane — badgers (Holly Walsh) and potatoes (Milton Jones).
Today, author Val McDermid, Paralympic double gold-medallist Hannah Cockroft, presenter Lizo Mzimba and actress Crissy Rock tackle, respectively, Christopher Marlowe, McFly, John le Carré’s George Smiley novels and Toulouse-Lautrec. My money’s on McDermid.
John Humphrys invites four famous faces to answer questions on their chosen subjects. Author Val McDermid, Paralympian Hannah Cockroft, broadcaster Lizo Mzimba and Benidorm actress Crissy Rock show what they know about the life of Christopher Marlowe, McFly, the George Smiley novels of John le Carre and the life and works of Toulouse-Lautrec.
