A Right Royal Year

A Right Royal Year

A look at how the royal family has fared in the past year, which ended with the announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their first child. Highlights included the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, which was celebrated by millions of people despite the rain, while low points saw the publication of revealing photographs of the Duchess of Cambridge in the foreign press, as well as a UK newspaper printing pictures of Prince Harry playing strip billiards in a hotel in Las Vegas. With contributions by ex-MP Ann Widdecombe, former private secretary to Diana, Princess of Wales, Patrick Jephson, pageant master of the jubilee flotilla Adrian Evans, royal correspondent Robert Jobson and social historian Dominic Sandbrook.
