Strictly Come Dancing

Series 10 - Episode 11

This series of Strictly has managed to wrongfoot everyone in a way it never has before. If a celebrity was lacking in grace or rhythm at the start, they gradually improved over the weeks but never really sparkled in the way the naturally twinkly-toed stars did. It meant you always knew which were the front-runners and who would foxtrot off home in the earlier stages.

So when Michael Vaughan quickstepped his way to the top of the leader board after being in the dance-off the week before, it left most of us flummoxed. Whatever next? Craig Revel Horwood handing out compliments and tens to everyone?

Claudia Winkleman joins Tess Daly to present the main show for one week only, giving Bruce Forsyth a well-deserved rest before next week's event from Wembley Arena. But apart from the change in presenter (and the obvious lack of Brucie's bad jokes) it will be business as usual, with the celebrity hoofers who upset the judges last week trying to do better - and hoping not to suffer the same fate of last week's eliminated couple Colin Salmon and Kristina Rihanoff - while those who have shone throughout aim to climb further up the leaderboard. Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Craig Revel Horwood and Darcey Bussell are the ones to impress as the hopefuls perform a mixture of dances from salsas, foxtrots and waltzes to a tango, paso doble, quickstep and Charleston. The results are tomorrow at 7.20pm.
