“We’re talking big flavours, fast!” shouts Jamie Oliver. Not content with his 30-minute meals (which some grumbled were hard for mortals to complete in time) our Essex maestro returns with still quicker recipe ideas.
The first is a 100mph chilli made with meatballs and served with bulgar wheat. Look out for the I-must-try-that-sometime short cuts, like blackening chillies directly on the gas flame, “popping” your kidney beans or using salted lemons. It’s all slickly choreographed, snappily edited and looks gorgeous. And fans of a certain 1980s dance classic will love the soundtrack.
Jamie Oliver demonstrates his own brand of fast food by showing viewers how to prepare two quick recipes. He prepares chilli con carne meatballs, sticky kicking chicken, watermelon radish salad and crunchy noodles.
