Port Sunlight on the Wirral isn’t living up to its name as the heavens open on the Roadshow’s second visit to William Hesketh Lever’s garden village.

But the clouds have linings of gold for a handful of visitors, including
a lady stunned into speechlessness when her battered bits of cloisonné metalwork are valued. The drenched crowd standing around her aren’t
so mute. Another lady who spent 19p on a sweet little box at a junk shop becomes animated when she finds out who made it, and two sisters are subjected to good-natured joshing from Fiona Bruce when a price is put on their treasured Beatles autographs.

Fiona Bruce and the team make a second visit to Port Sunlight on the Wirral, where members of the public bring along family treasures and other, more eclectic, items. Objects include a stash of advertising signs found on a tip, part of an Apollo spaceship given to a boy in the 1960s, an exquisite piece of oriental ceramic and a religious painting that raises the question: fake or fortune?
