Prepare to be thrilled by this gripping Danish crime drama: the most talked-about, though possibly least-watched, television drama of recent years.
There are English subtitles, but don’t be scared; this just means you have to focus fully and not move your eyes from the screen for a second as we meet Sarah Lund (played by the wonderful Sofie Grabol), a decent, hard-working, not-at-all maverick senior detective who is spending her last day with the Copenhagen police force before she leaves to start a new life in Sweden with her boyfriend and son. But the murder of a teenage girl, Nanna Birk Larsen, takes hold of Lund and refuses to let her go.
Danish detective drama in which each episode covers one day of an investigation. Copenhagen police inspector Sarah Lund says goodbye to her colleagues in the city's homicide department as she prepares to move to Sweden - but is forced to reconsider her plans when a teenage girl goes missing. Sofie Grabol and Lars Mikkelsen star.
